Dear Festival Friends,

Since our debut, the Festival has been a proudly homegrown event, organized by a small group of people whose love of reading is matched only by our love of Santa Fe. Given the unique chemistry of our team, we knew it would take someone extra special to join us as executive director. And we found her—right here in town. We’re thrilled to welcome Megan Mulry, whose long career in publishing, the nonprofit world, and event organizing makes her the perfect addition to our Festival family.

For the past eight years, Megan was the communications and development director of Radius Books, a Santa Fe–based nonprofit organization whose goal is to make a lasting impact through publishing and donation programs. Before that, she oversaw successful nonprofit events for various literacy, education, and arts organizations in Florida. Megan is also a novelist, and has worked at The New Yorker and Boston magazines. From our perspective, she’s a complete package, just the right person to help our one-of-a-kind Festival continue to evolve and grow.

“We’re thrilled to have Megan join our small but mighty team,” says Festival co-founder Clare Hertel. “Her combined skills make her a great match for the Festival, whose mission is to feed and foster, in all people, a love of stories and the written word.”
