The City of Santa Fe

The inspiration for the Festival springs directly out of our love for this unique town steeped in literary and cultural history, and the City of Santa Fe has enthusiastically supported the idea of the Festival from the very start. Tourism Santa Fe is offering an ideal home base in the Community Convention Center and is supporting the Festival in countless other ways as well. The City of Santa Fe Public Library is also an invaluable partner in community programs such as SFILF Young Writers and Readers, the Festival’s youth initiative, and more.


The Authors Guild

The Authors Guild is the nation’s oldest and largest professional organization of writers. We advocate for the rights of writers by supporting free speech, fair contracts, and copyright. Our members include novelists in all genres and categories, nonfiction writers, journalists, historians, poets, and translators.


Bookworks

Bookworks is the official bookstore for the 2026 Festival. An iconic independent bookstore in Albuquerque, Bookworks has been a staple of the local literary scene for over forty years, and is known for its curated selection of books, knowledgeable staff, and community-centered events. Throughout the Festival, May 16-18, 2025, Bookworks will operate onsite at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, offering books for sale from renowned authors, emerging voices, local legends, and host all of the book signings for the Festival authors.


New Mexico Writers

New Mexico Writers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and connecting the state’s literary community. Its annual dinner, now in its fourth year, brings established and aspiring writers together and raises funds to support grants that assist New Mexico writers seeking to further their craft.


New Mexico MAGAZINE

New Mexico Magazine has been telling the story of New Mexico for 100 years. Their mission is to inspire authentic experiences with its people, places, art, culture, and food.


THE SANTA FE NEW MEXICAN

The Santa Fe New Mexican is one of the oldest newspaper companies in the American West dating back to 1849. In addition to its daily newspaper, Santa Fe New Mexican also publishes a host of annual and specialty magazines, most notably Pasatiempo, the weekly cornerstone of the cultural and arts scene. Santa Fe New Mexican has been owned and operated by the Martin-McKinney family for decades and is operates its own printing facility in Santa Fe.


LOS POBLANOS

Set among 25 acres of lavender fields, enormous cottonwood trees and lush formal gardens, Los Poblanos is one of the most magnificent historic properties in the Southwest. Designed in 1932 by New Mexico's foremost architect, John Gaw Meem, the "Father of Santa Fe Style", Los Poblanos is located on an organic farm in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley with a boutique inn, field-to-fork dining, and luxurious spa.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum celebrates the art, life, and independent spirit of Georgia O’Keeffe. The Museum Store offers a mix of original products by innovative designers and regional artisans, at a range of media and price points. Beastly Books

Beastly Books returns with a pop up bookstore featuring its eclectic offerings in the science fiction and fantasy genres, with autographed and collectible books, games and memorabilia by a mix of local author and award-winning bestselling authors.

San Miguel Writers’ Conference & Literary Festival

As the largest and most prestigious co-cultural, bi-lingual literary gathering in the Americas, SMWC attracts prominent authors, established and emerging writers, industry experts, teaching professionals, and avid readers primarily from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
